The most common driving or access method for power wheelchairs is the joystick. This proportional access method provides 360 degrees of directional control and proportional speed. Not everyone can use a standard joystick, however, due to limitations in motor control or muscle strength. This webinar will present a variety of alternative proportional access methods with clinical indicators for each.
- The participant will be able to list clinical indicators for mini proportional joysticks.
- The participant will be able to describe the difference between standard and isometric joysticks.
- The participant will be able to describe clinical indicators for various joystick placement locations.
